Al-Nahar TV Network: Full Technical & Operational Leadership

The Challenge

When I joined Al-Nahar TV Network, it was scaling rapidly. The core challenge was to manage this growth by building and integrating a robust, future-proof technical infrastructure from the ground up. This involved overseeing all broadcast operations, launching new channels, and ensuring 24/7 reliability while transitioning to modern, tapeless workflows.

My Solution

As C.T.O., I had comprehensive oversight of all technical and operational divisions. My solution was multi-faceted:

  • Infrastructure Design: Architected and implemented the entire technical backbone, including the MAM (Media Asset Management) and Center Storage System.
  • Operations Management: Assumed direct responsibility for all studios (four live studios), the MCR, and all Playout operations.
  • Team Building: Grew the engineering staff by filling key roles and building a high-performance team.
  • System Integration: Led the integration of all broadcasting hardware and software to create a unified, "Tapeless System."
  • Channel Launch: Managed the specific creation of Al Nahar Movies, overseeing all logistical and technical aspects, content acquisition, and strategy.
  • Quality Control: Was responsible for all IT, network, and broadcast quality control across the entire network.

The Result

This comprehensive technical and managerial leadership resulted in a highly stable, efficient, and scalable broadcast network. The successful implementation of the tapeless system modernized operations, reduced errors, and allowed for the seamless launch and management of new channels, cementing Al-Nahar's position as a leading media network.
